employee:admin.
Concept
A salary structure is a named set of pay components — earnings (basic, HRA, allowances) and deductions (PF, tax) — with rules for how each is calculated (fixed amount or percentage of another component).
Working with structures
- New Structure — name it and add components with their calculation rules.
- Assign structures to employees from their profile's Salary tab, or via Salary Revisions with an effective date.
- Editing a structure affects how future assignments compute; historical values remain preserved on each employee's revision history.
